Our Story
Kalora Dobermans was established in 1990. Our foundation dog Ch Meroke's Sandalwood V Phantom LC "Woody" and bitch Meroke's I'm In Trouble Again WAC BFL1 LC13 "Trouble", which were both purchased from the late Carol Shipley of Meroke Dobermans, are both line bred on some of the most influential dogs in our bred. Our lineage is based on the wonderful Tess Hensler Vom Arhtal Kennel.
Our Mentors
We have had the pleasure of being mentored by late Gwen DeMilta of Alisaton Dobermans, the late Carol Shipley, and Linda Krukar of Dabney Dobermans.
About Us
We are a small show hobby kennel which is based out of our home. All of our dogs are our family pets.
KALORA is a registered and protected kennel name. The name is combination of names, the K is from my husband Keith's name and Alora is my daughter's name. We bred one litter under the kennel name Phantom which we stopped using after we learned it could not be registered. So our first homebred champion is CH Phantom's Tantalizer V Meroke.
Our Mission
We bred for health, longevity, temperament and conformation. Our dogs are intelligent and are excellent family companions. A great deal work is put into breeding each litter.
